What Are You Reading Right Now?

Hello Everyone,
I figured I'd go ahead and make a thread for people to post up what they're reading. Maybe it can give people an idea of what to read next.

Currently I'm reading (again) CAUGHT STEALING by Charlie Huston.

He's a crime-Noir author. If anyone is interested in Crime Fiction or Noir novels, He's my favorite Author, you should definitely check him out. Be prepared though if you do, he's not shy of using profanity.

here's a link to it on Amazon, you can read the description there.
Amazon.com: Caught Stealing: A Novel (9780345464781): Charlie Huston: Books

I am currently finishing Reaper's Gale by Stephen Erikson. It is the 7th book in his series which up to now has been great, but this one didn't grab my attention like the rest.

I have a James Patterson novel on my night stand.
I've started to read it 2 or 3 times in the past 3 years.
still haven't.........
Used to read all the time. Bought a house put a TV in the bedroom and forget it. Haven't read since. I really like James Patterson also.

One day....

Horse Soldiers: The Extraordinary Story of a Band of US Soldiers Who Rode to Victory in Afghanistan by Doug Stanton

Just finished it up today, made me even prouder of our unsung "1st responders" than I already am. Good read.

I just finished The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer. Being a Mason I love reading books where plots are derived from "suspicious" Freemason activity.

"We Were Soldiers Once...And Young, Ia Drang-the battle that changed the war in Vietnam"

I seem to be stuck in the military genre right now.

Re: What Are You Reading Right Now?

Today I picked up "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk. If no one knows who he is, He's the guy who wrote "Fight Club" you've probably seen the movie.

Right on! For military, try Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose (HBO mini series was based on the book), it was fantastic, and I salute all those that serve.

I am currently on a fantasy kick and working my way through The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Trilogy by Terry Brooks.

The Portable Edmund Burke by Isaac Kramnick

It is very good. Perhaps the best English I have ever read.

The Republic by Plato

Pretty cool.

Right Reason by William F. Buckley

Good writing and very interesting.
