Gene Hackman,,,Morgan Freeman,,,Samuel L. Jackson,,,these guys are so good that 5 minutes into any movie they are in you forget who they are and buy into their character,,,now that's acting.

Conversely, guys like Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant, George Clooney,,,they can never get past their own stardom and you never forget who they are when they are playing a part.

There are only like 3 I can think of right now that if they are in a movie I want to see it, but there are many great actors.

Tom Hanks
Samuel L "MOTHER F*CKER" Jackson (he can paly any kind of role there is, awesome actor)
John Travolta, yeah he has made some bombs, but bad choices made not bad acting.
