If I were to ran them it'd be:

CSI
CSI NY
CSI Miami

Miami is over the top on some things. Can't say the artsy editing does much for me either. But that candy does make it bearable.

I guess the answer is ... it depends on what you want.

CSI:LV ... Great plots and characters ... the most intelligent show of the bunch. Plus I've been a fan of William Peterson since To Live & Die in LA + Manhunter. And for a middle aged lady, Marg Helgenberger is very easy on the eyes. My wife and I never miss a show.

CSI:NY ... Decent plots and characters. I also like Gary Sinise - and Anna Belknap reminds me of a younger Sally Field. The NY clichés do sometimes get a bit old, but it's still a fun show.

CSI:Miami ... 48 minutes of T&A, upper end Miami real estate and The David Caruso Sunglass show.

I'm gonna go against everyone else on this one and say CSI: NY is first and LV is second and Miami is 3rd. NY and LV seams to have pretty realistic scenarios while Miami is just totally unrealistic. But if we were judging based on cleavage Miami would win hands down both in quantity and quality.

the original is still the best, but I have to admit that david caruso's acting is so bad, it's entertaining, so I watch miami reruns on A&E.

Vegas is the best, hands down. Miami jumped the shark when they did that big "tidal wave" episode. And what the hell is Horatio Caine, anyway?? Is he supposed to be, like, the Sgt. Brass of Miami? I never see him do any science, and he seems to have way too much authority for a CSI. He is always running into busts leading a sqaud of S.W.A.T. guys, shooting up trucks with rocket launchers, and trotting the globe after fleeing suspects. What's the deal, man!??

The show would not be the same without Horatio. It is sometimes unrealistic but it makes great tv.

I was watching some Tivo'd Vegas episodes, and I have to ask, why is it always so dark?! You'd think with the kinda work they were doing, they'd want as much light in the room as possible. How many times do they go into a scene and the only light available is from their flashlights? Even the labs are dark.
