i hear ya, but bill gates bought out sony's exclusive rights to blu-ray... so, xbox is getting it soon!

I dunno hwo he will do that cost effectively.... they could make it an add on like the hd dvd player but i dislike how that isnt part of the console... and I don't think they will release yet another 360 console (since they just came out w/ the elite) and it is irritating already that there is no trade in or something for the elite.

Although I havent played much recently, I went with the xbox 360. More games, and more importantly, some of my friends have the xbox but none have the playstation so we can play online.

Thought about the Wii for my girlfriend, and the fun factor so might pick one up down the road.

do a lot of ppl have problems with their Xbox 360s always breaking?

seems like there's a lot of ebay auctions for "as is" or "3 red lights" (broke) Xbox 360s??

Nah, just more out there. PS3 has it's share of issues. MS recently made the factory warranty 1 year (previously 30 days I think).

I think 360 is the way to go for now. I would wait at least a year and see what happens w/ PS3, and the blueray vs hddvd battle too. No sense paying for a blueray drive. If you're in the market to get one soon, go 360. Halo 3 and COD4 coming this fall.

Also, if you are getting online MS is way better. PS3 will probably catch up, but again why pay for something now that is at least a year or two away?

all XBOX's and PS3's come with a warranty.. I have had the problem with the 3 red lights, but they sent me a new one, no questions asked. It spretty simple, they mail you a postage paid box, you send yours back, they return it like 1 week or so later..

No big deal, considering how many hours i play it..

Honestly Greg, I don't know anybody who's owned one and hasn't had it break. The three red lights of doom gets everyone!

i think Coppertops broke at one point as well and he got a new one.

i think i'm gonna have to go out and get one for Fathers (and 7 yr old son) day when i get home. my son and i can play it til we puke.

You wont regret getting either one... but right now it is probably better to get the 360 as xbox has more titles out for it.... but once metal gear solid comes out a ps3 is a must! haha
