The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly revisited
Just finished watching this awesome, awesome movie on Demand, and I noticed that the movie was given an R rating. I mentioned something, as I didn't recall the movie having violence that would require an R rating. My wife suggested that it is possible that the movie got an R rating because of the cigar smoking in the movie. Some of the best scenes revolved around Blondie and his Cheroots. Regardless, how crappy would that be if this were the case? After finishing the movie, I realized that YES, the movie was quite violent, and I do hope this movie wasn't re-rated simply on the cigar referencing within the movie. If that is the case, I have something to say to those people in the words of Blondie:

I have it Tivo'd. There is a lot of killing in it. Hmmm, I never thought smoking would cause the rating to change.

The ratings were a lot stricker back then. Marilyn Monroe had to get a divorce after that skirt/breeze thing.

The funny thing is, my dad used to watch that move all the time when I was a kid and I HATED IT! I think maybe because I'm older and I can appreciate the great smokin' and killin'! The boy liked it, anyways!
