Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Just finished this today, apparently a slower reader than some of you. And I also agree with the general concensus here that it was the best book of the series. Also, with Mrs. Weasley's "line in question" I believe it's a matter of J.K.'s writing style. She obviously incorporates death into the books, so incorporating questionable words too really isn't a surprise. I thought it was a necessary line, and that it really kind of brought that scene to life making it more realistic. But to each their own, I as well, don't have kids, so maybe I shouldn't really put input in onto that particular subject.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Started reading on Sunday, finished on Monday. Very satisfying ending for me but I now I have questions about what happened between the last two chapters.

Was glad I read all six previous books though. It would have been confusing otherwise.

One more thought. With all those magic shields stopping magic attacks, someone should have brought a muggle M-16 to the fight.

I'm at around page 300 and love it so far, can't wait to keep going and finish it up. I also must be a slower reader, or maybe its just because I only read a few chapters at a crack

I got it Sunday afternoon and finished it that night. Very excellent. I can't wait for the last two movies now.

She didn't pull any punches in this one. It reads more like a adult book than a kids book.
