Ray, The Movie

I am not the best at the "search" function.

This movie was awesome.
So many people took advantage of his blindness.
He was able to kick the drugs and alcohol.

What a heart-felt story.
A must see.

This was a great movie. The guy deserved to win the Oscar for that performance.

I found out that his wierd thing with those wierd water episodes was due to post traumatic stress disorder from when his brother died.

I Second Bruce's review - Great movie, and a phenomenal job by Jamie Foxx. I found myself at a couple of points in the movie suddenly remembering that this is the same guy who was in 'Booty Call' and just shaking my head in disbelief. His performance was definitely Oscar-worthy.

I've been a huge fan of Ray Charles my whole life, and when I saw this, there were points that I completely forgot that it wasn't really Ray himself.

Jamie Foxx did an absolutely incredible job.

BTW, Jamie did all the piano playing in the movie, too. He had a scholarship years ago for classical piano.

I am a big Ray Charles fan and thought the movie was very well done. I did find it interesting that they skipped the part of all the children he had with other women, but I gues that would have made it a 4 hour movie. If you liked the movie, check out the book Brother Ray, his autobiography.

Just watched this on Easter, what a great movie, long, but interesting.
" Georgia ", one of his best. His mother should get the mother of the Century, If it wasn't for her, he would be another Hendricks.

Gotta agree, Jamie get props for this movie, he's come a long way. He was also pretty good in Collateral. I didn't know he was playing the piano. There were a couple lip syncs that were a tad off, but it was the best movie I've seen in a while.

This is a great movie! I learned a lot about ole Ray! I lot of things I did not know! He was a great musician but his personal life was a little off.

Fantastic movie! Bought the dvd at the local Costco and I was the same way. I forgot it WASN'T Ray. Excellent performance.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. I was locked in, everything had to wait until the movie finished. Jamie Fox was outstanding. Excellent supporting cast as well. Booger without hair was interesting..
