This IPA is a hop lover's dream

Anderson Valley Hop Ottin IPA

This is my favorite beer!!! You have to like hops or you wont like it. It's a little too bold for most, and intolerable for Bud drinkers. But for me, there is nothing better! Some IPAs are too sweet, or to yeasty. This is neither. Just a refreshing beer full of hops!

Great stuff! And goes well with a robust cigar.

hoohoo:

Yes. Nice hops, but a kinda sweet. This one (Anderson) is more crisp.

Edit: If you like the Dogfish better, you might like the Vermont Long Trail IPA. Being from Boston, you probably have it available.

I like a lot of the Long Trail Ales. I went on a brewery/camping road trip some years ago and hit a bunch of the breweries in VT and NH. It was a blast.

We also have 2 liquor stores in my area that have beer tastings a couple times a year. These are great not only because you get to sample a bunch of new (and old) beers but it's also a free buzz.

This is a great way for those of you interested in checking out some good beer to find out what its all about.

Enjoy

Nice, sounds like the perfect road trip! Care to share the itinerary? I didn't know there were that many breweries up there.

Also, next time your stores have tastings, give us a post. Gotta love a free buzz! Oh... and get to try new beer!

Looks like a great brew. At that 75% ABV you can really get it ICE cold without a freeze.

My memory is not as good as it used to be. Here's what I remember.

We hit Geary's Brewing Co. which I thought was in NH but after looking it up I guess it's in Maine. Maybe it moved (it was more than 10 yrs ago)? We stopped at a brew pub in Brattleborough, VT (can't remember the name) then headed North to the Catamount Brewery which I think is now owned by the Atlantic Brewing Co. in Bar Harbor (but it might be Harpoon, anyway no more Catamount). Finally we hit another brewpub in Burlington, VT before heading back. It was a great trip and I'm about ready for another one.

Last summer we stayed a few days in Bar Harbor and did the Atlantic Brewing Co. tour. Whenever I go on vacation I usually try to make sure its near a good brew pub, brewery or smoke shop (preferably all three). We also went to the Harpoon Octoberfest in VT this past summer. Great time.

I picked up a six of Long Trail IPA and Sam Adams Irish Red. I liked the IPA but the Irish Red was great. Definitely worth trying.

I better stop... I'm getting thirsty and it's only 80
