Rye vs Bourbon Whiskey?
I'm a big fan of some good bourbon on the rocks and was wondering if I should Rye whiskey? Is this good on the rocks? What are the similarities/differences?

Great quesiton...Rye whiskey is consisted of 100% rye. Whereas, to be called bourbon, it's mash must consist of at least 51% corn (no more than 80%) and aged for at least 2 years in new charred oak barrels. Other than corn, bourbon's mash will contain either rye, wheat, or malted barley. The corn creates a sweetness that you won't find in rye. Rye should taste spicier.

I tend to drink Jim Beam Rye on occasion and if you want to try the Canadian thing go for Seagrams or Walker's Special both are good if you can find them.
