First is a Terrapin Golden Ale, for something on the quick drinking side.

Second is one I had not seen until today: Xingu Black Beer, from Brazil. Looks intriguing.

I've never had either of these, but I'll risk it for the sake of science. Anyone have any opinions on these brews?

Questionable etiquitte to reply to my own post, but the Black Brazillian brew was actually quite good. Rich reddish, dark caramel in color, but not bitter or overly sweet, either. Interesting and not what I expected out of such a dark beer.

The Golden Ale was fairly light on the pallate, and I could see drinking a couple of those fairly quickly after a hot day in the yard. Had a real smooth, creamy taste.

The Xingu Black Beer is pretty good. I've only had it a few times but it is tasty and not strong at all.
