My Cherry Bomb Experiment

So, after reading several other members success at making cherry bombs, I've decided to do my own experiment. It went as follows:

Participants: Cheap Maraschino cherries



100 Proof Vodka and Bacardi 151:



First, I drained the juice



Then the Vodka

Then the 151



Self explanitory



Proper labeling



and safe in the fridge for a month or so....




That's about it. I'm going to set my calender for March 26th and we'll see how they turned out! Stay tuned!

Suggestion. I would not refrig, just keep in a cool spot. Fridge I think slows the process down if I dont remember, the alk content is high enough no worries about stuff growing in it.

cool. They have been moved from the fridge to my desk in the basement...plenty of cool there. Thanks for the advice.

I also notice you set a date.

After a month you can start sampling, but just leave them in there. Call it aging it wont hurt them, just makes them better..........

The longer the better with those and no place is better than a cool dark place.

Those are going to be yummy !!

Give them 6 months or so.

that looks like a good idea. does anyone know if everclear would work with this or is it too strong(196 proof)? i think I may have to try this at some point.

Great idea. I was going to use those as well, but with bourbon.

I might try something similar but with some rye whiskey or rum.
