Re: Lazy Sunday morning

I went to the Havana House today to meet up with a couple of buddies before I leave town. What a day...it was over 70 and sunny as ever. Smoked an AF SG 858 and a PSD4. Was also gifted a RASS and a Monte 2. What more can a guy ask for than the sun shining on his face, being engaged in good conversation with great people, and enjoying a couple'o fine cigars?

What a day!

Re: Lazy Sunday morning

You know, I have never thought about it, but I have actually never smoked a cigar on a Sunday morning. I am generally an afternoon/night smoker. Maybe I'll try it next week. Too bad you had to grade papers at teh same time...but I can't think of another way I would like to grade papers than with a good smoke in my hand. Of course, I don't think I'll ever have to grade papers. What do you grade papers for?

Got home from work early in the morning...slept until mid afternoon and got up to help Mom cook the gravy for the eggplant parm....still have not had time to have a smoke. Maybe I'll light one up now.

Re: Lazy Sunday morning

My whole Sunday was lazy, went out on my mate's boat sat on the deck and had a RyJ and a nice glass of red wine. Went back to my ma's place had dinner and sat down with a Zino Muton Cadet No8, 1st time I had one of those, pretty unispiring but relaxing none the less.

Re: Lazy Sunday morning

Ahhh Sunday. Drug myself out of bed at 8am. Drank 1/2 pot of coffee then took a long hot shower to wake up. Made my way to the golf course by 9:15 for my 10am tee time. Got to have time to loosen the old bones ya see.

A co-worker met me there, and we paired with another 2-some. The weather here yesterday was great. 76+ with a few whispy and rolling clouds darting about. Wind at a steady 10mph with a few gusts to 20. Definately shorts weather!

The round started right on time. Playing with a fine gentleman and his son who plays on a local high school team. Each hole was filled with good conversation and a couple good shots. I can tell this is going to be a good golfing year. I left a whole lot of shots on the course with my short game and putter. Made the turn at even, but should have been 3 under ... easy!
And the back remained the same. Hitting great shots follwed by poor putting execution. Or hitting a great put to save myself from bogey. Why could those puts not fall for birdie!? Anyway, finish the day with a smooth uninspiring 74. Ho-hum.

Now the part i've left out so far is the best. The smokes! Started the morning light with a Don Diego Reserve Tubo Corona. Pretty good cigar that has never let me down. Nice cocoa and creamy flavors that go great with coffee! Switched gears by the 9th hole to an un-banded smoke. I believe to be a JL#2 if my notes are correct. Wow! Great smoke. Pure habano flavor. Smooth from start to finish. Far too many flavors for my young palate to beging to discern. Every puff was something to relish. Could be why I couldn't concentrate on the back 9?

When I got back home, I lit up a RASS. Smoked that while blowing leafs and moving some trash out of the yard. As the evening approached I fired up the Grill and a Punch RS #12. OOOH! That was good. Had some thick juicy heart of tenderloins. Best steaks I've made in a LONG time.

As far as Sundays go ... Couldn't have been too much better.

Re: Lazy Sunday morning

That was a good Sunday Dave! Well for myself, start the morning with a monte 2, drink a lot of coffee also while browsing CS. then before lunch, I tried one of Galagas unbanded stick, A little smaller than DC, nice mild cigar.
Then sometime around 4:00pm fired one of CAO, I just called DC 'cuz I don't know what it is! Well that one is good, nice creamy tone, smooth and great finisher. Then in the evening now, my neighbour called me for a bottle of beer, can't say no, so i grab one of my custom roll Robusto to go with the beer. not a bad Sunday for a cigar but not much activities!

Uh, Dave, remind me not to play a $5 Nassau with you if there are automatic presses. Nice, uninspiring 74 Ho-hum
