Re: Online ordering, poor quality?

I order most of my stuff online and I've not had any problems so far. I have order from Cbid, cigar.com, Cigars international, tampa humidor, heartfelt industies, and today for the first time from corona cigar. All of these companys have been great to deal with and only once did I have a problem at cbid and they took care of it right away.

Re: Online ordering, poor quality?

I've had better luck online than in-store, even buying from some very good stores.

I have ordered many, many times online.... with one, maybe two problems, and both were taken care of to my satisfaction.

Give em a call, things should work out.

Re: Online ordering, poor quality?

I've dealt with CigarBid and CI (one and same) and Holt's. Been very happy with both.

However, I've had problems with JR's. Bought a 5 pack from them about 6 months ago and they were dried out.

When I contacted their customer support they said they don't accept returns on cigars that had been lit already (Ok, I understand that), or that the package had been opened (that I don't understand).

When I asked them how I am supposed to know the sticks are dried out if I don't open the package, their response was basically, "that's your problem, not ours". Needless to say, I'll never order from JR's ever again.

Most good vendors will take them back or make good on them.

There is no reason to be stuck with crap.

JR's customer service sucks. Question on prospective employee test: "Are you an ***hole? Correct answer: "Yes". Response: "You're hired". The rudest customer service I've received in years has been from JRs. And, I have a hard time understanding the females when they talk.

I got four boxes of moldy LGCs from JR. I did receive credit for the returned cigars but was out $16.00 for return shipping. $16.00 for cigars I couldn't smoke?

Famous is outstanding to deal with. Don't like the cigars? Send them back and they pay the freight. Good customer service is going to make "Famous" thousands of dollars off of me and cost JRs the same.

And one more:

The one with the loose leaf on the foot was the torpedo, I ended up licking it down and it seems like it's staying together now.

edit- Maybe I am just being too picky? Either way, I'd rather not go through the hassle of sending them back and receiving new ones etc. I'm sure that they will be great smokes, I just figured that they would come in top shape.

I don't think that your being too picky - but then again the damage does not look that bad to me. I'd go ahead and smoke them and call it a day. Couple of shots there looks like they may have been rolled that way.

One suggestion, something that I do, is to keep a bottle or two of cigar glue on hand to take care of small problems like those.

Re: Online ordering, poor quality?

I can vouch for Tinderbox, bestcigarprices.com and Bonita Smoke shop.

I haven't tried CI yet, but planing on driving to their location since they are close to me. I want to check out their new cigar lounge.
