Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classics
Has anyone have any issues with the wrappers splitting and peeling off this one? I cut mine again, with precision at less than 1/8 of an inch and it split the wrapper. I figured just an oops, bad wrapper. I cut a 2nd and it happened. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine split, but the Monkeys here thought it was overhumidified. Mine did not unravel...it was the 1973 Figuardo.

You need to lick the cap, and then wait a few moments before cutting. Mind if I ask what kind of cutter you're using? I've noticed that many single blades will do that to cigars.

Yes, the wrappers on these things are fragile. They have tended to suffer a lot of damage in transit and subsequently are now in cello. Doesn't stop me though. The toro is my daily smoke.

Delicate wrappers. If they aren't stored at the right humidity, they will do interesting things. I keep 'em at 65% and things seem to work fine.

I had my first one last night, and did have some problems, but they did not distract from the enjoyment! I really enjoyed this cigar!

I've found that all DPGs tend to have delicate wrappers. I just try to be more careful with them.

Re: Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classics
Just had a Tat Series P2 split six ways to Sunday. The Cuban Classic I had on Saturday (stored in the same humidor for the same amount of time) was perfect though. Both good smokes, but they're not really in the same class.

Re: Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classics
All of my Pepin's are stored at 60-65. Anything more than that, they will swell up and crack.
