OK fogs, need some advice

heading out of town as soon as I get the clients photographed and I will be spending 6 days in sunny florida.

My question is how many cigars do I pack?

Gotta figure 15 hours driving each way.
5 days of quiet with nothing to do but herf with some gorillas and tour miami.

add into the equation many stops at cigar factories and a few stores.

I have 30 in an otter box, that should last the drive down,
and I have a box of cigars for Saturdays herf, so thats 55 total.

Ok, I am rambling, I stayed up all night working. Maybe 30 will be enough.

Cheers! See you Floridians tomorrow!

My Math:

10 - Drive Down
20 - 4 per day Normal
10 - Additiional Herfing
20 - Potential Gifts at herfs
5 - Drive home (Tongue scraping required)
__

65 (I'm guessin you may get some sticks "from somewhere" on your journey.

To be on the safe side I would bring 2 full boxes plus a few extra maybe a total of 60-70 sticks total. Thats almost 3 boxes.

5 for the drive down {the anticipation will be killing you smokem up}
25 which is 5 per day {nothing to do but drink,eat and smoke}
10-15 extra{a cushion just in case}
25 for gifts and trading {dont want to be shot handed}
4-5 for the ride home{ride home is always quicker than the ride down}

65 - 70 sticks. Have a good trip.

Re: OK fogs, need some advice

Well, I guess I don't smoke near as much as Da Klugs or RPB67 but here's what I would bring:

2-3 - For trip down
10 - 2 per day during vacation
25-30 - For Herf Gifts
2-3 - For trip back

So around 45 - 50 smokes.

Then I would hit several shops and pickup new sticks, something I can't get at my local B&M's.

Just my 2 Cents.

If you ask nice, Dave can send you some Cremosa's for the drive....

Re: OK fogs, need some advice

OK! Question for you.

You're heading to Florida. Is this South Florida/Miami where you are going?!

Don't forget that in the Tampa and Miami areas (and for some reason the Keys as well), the Fuente's have a large presence and strong connections among the toabcco retailers there so you may want to stock up on Opus X's and other Fuente lines.
Also, Padron has a new corporate HQ in Miami, and, if I'm not mistaken, they have a retail shop attached with it. They may hve some Anni's available.

Now as for the question of how many cigars to take with you, there's already some good advice here, and the numbers are in line with what I'd do. I'd say that it's always better to have more than you need than too few. Personally, I kinda' like Dave's math (it's a lot like what my numbers look like) .

Re: OK fogs, need some advice

I hope he hits a few bumps in Jacksonville on the way and drops a few of those sticks on the road where I can scoop them up......

I would like to make that trip to Miami to visit some of those places myself.

65 Sticks for a 6 day vacation. Sounds about right to me. Enjoy Florida!
