Padron Delicias Maduro funky barn smell...

So, I decided to smoke a Padron Delicias maddy from my cooler yesteday. I swiped a few from the box (from this past Spring), and put them in my quick smoke humidor. I removed the celo off one of them and decided to take a nice long wiff. WTF is this smell?! I know the aroma, but it is not typical from a cigar that I've had. HAY mixed with something I can't put my finder on...maybe hay mixed with manure. I remember the smell vividly growing up on a farm. It smelled just like the barn! I don't know what's going on here, but I decided not to smoke it. I wasn't feeling well last night, so I decided not to smoke it. I am curious, but not worried enough to pitch it. I just put it back in the humidor. I will fire it up tonight and hope it smokes better than it smells!

I know this smell, it's in my CAO Gold DCs. I was worried about it but decided to try one anyway a few weeks ago. The Hay/Wheat flavor persisted though the cigar, wasn't bad at all, I liked it even. I know I'm just another FNG, but I say smoke it!

mmm.... love a good barnyard smell. Only on that let me down with that smell was CAO Brazil. I hope you enjoy that stick.

I've got the best of all worlds,, my humidor smells like barnyard my sticks smell the same way and when I sit out on my deck and the wind is blowing the right direction I get the barnyard smell from the country..

No, this smell is unique from other's I've smelled. I smelled her again when I got home, and now smelled more like than hay...but I fired her up and she tastes fine. I have been congested the last few days...maybe affecting my smeller!

I love the maduro Padron Delicias, I smoke it just about everyday...regardless of the smell...
