Inadvertently I converted one. I noticed a good cigar went missing from my humidor and after thorough investigation I found my 19 year old son was indulging himself. So I did the fatherly thing, I took him out to my B&M and bought him a Pardagus. His ass went Flop back into the seat when he tried to stand up after that one. I've created a monster.

Yes. My motivation is mixed. I want to share what I love, but I also want to offload what I don't love.

It's been my experience that most people think of it as more of a novelty than anything else, unless you're a true smoker like all of us here.

I've wasted more quality sticks on new people than I care to admit, besause I would rather them try something I think is good.

But now I keep beater sticks in the humi (brands I tried and didn't really care for) for the adventurous friend or relative.

I've tried over the years and continue to when I feel someone is receptive, but I've found most will accept or reject in their own time.

Thats how it all starts, better lock that humi up!

At least he didn't crack it open for "alternative" smoking.

My only victim to this is scubasteve who is a member on the boards... got him into it. Now he enjoys cigars!
