Surprise at my door today!

Well, another package arrived today. I've been in the market for a cabinet style humidor for a while now and with the holidays coming, couldn't justify dropping the coin on the ones I liked. Soooooo, I compromised (with myself), and decided to go with the Romeo Y Julieta Wine Rack / Cabinet Humidor. My local B&M got a few in and it's gorgeous! Well, a few people started listing them on Ebay so I gave it a shot. I won the auction, grabbing the thing for less than half of MSRP.

The seal is great, you can feel the wind rush when you close both doors. While I do not need all of the space at the bottom for wine, it's completely versatile in that you can remove all the cedar panels to store boxes. It has a sealed port in the back to fish a wire out of. Probably for a CO or something.

I'm very happy with this so far. After I get it seasoned, and loaded, I'll post more pics. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone BTW.

Very nice looking humidor, it's different than the ones I've seen in the past it seems in the past the wine rack was made of metal... I really like the way your is made with the lower cabinet and inclosed with the glass doors, it going to look great full of boxes....

Oh yeah... you ever fire up a stogie and put on that suit of armour...

That's actually an el-cheapo suit I picked up somewhere. Very thin-gauge metal and welded completely. I have thought about it though.

The thing retails at my local B&M for $700 before tax, I picked it up for $235 with shipping. I'm still in shock.

All the the wood that make up the "compartments" in the bottom are removeable and you can add/remove as many as you want to make the space that you need. I'm seasoning it right now but will play around with different setups when I start to fill it. I'll post more pics as I go. Can't wait for it to be ready!! The anticipation is killing me!!
