Cigar software

I have been playing around w/ Cigar Briefcase. It seems decent for what it is, but I was wondering if any of you other gorillas out there know of any other cigar tracking/inventory software.

I suppose I could do all this in excel, but I wanted something a bit more flashy and focused.

Just wonderin'

Cigar briefcase has promise, but I've only messed around with it for a day or so, and am still exploring its functionality.

No bugs are annoyances so far though. Thats a nice sign.

That looks very nice. Shame it is $7. I abhor paying for software.

Pretty good. Built more for rating than inventory. I wish I could have a view to remove cigars that I have 0 in stock, it keeps them for the reviews, which I understand.

But, it's free and works pretty well for free.

Re: Cigar software

You folks mind posting links?
Also, anyone know any Mac software that does the job? I tried iFicionado, but it's pretty buggy and appears to have been abandoned by the developer.

Software engineers need to eat (and buy cigars) too! $7 is the price of one cigar

Re: Cigar software

I use Cigar Register http://www.cigarregister.com/. The program was done by a couple of Hungarian guys. It's in in 2.0 version at the moment but I still consider it in a beta phase. There are some bugs, it's a bit of a pain in the butt to use; but god if it ain't cool.

Most of the cigars on file already are Cubans, so if you're smoking NC's you need to make a lot of entries. The database is supposed to be shareable, but they also have to validate the information somehow. I've got no idea how long it will take to get more AMS cigars in unmodified database.

If anyone is having trouble getting it to work or entering cigars, send me a PM, I'd be happy to try and help you though it.

LINKS:
Cigar briefcase (I think this is PC only)
Cigar Register (PC only)
Stogie Rate (PC & Mac)

I plan to try cigar register soon, maybe tonight. If neither of these trip my keys, I'll pay my money and take my chances w/ stogie rate.

It is true, software developers do need our support, and seven bucks is reasonable.

I wonder if there are any more progs out there?

Re: Cigar software

Hmm, Stogie Rate was free when I got it. I know they were going to do some updates and begin charging, I need to look into what they were as I'm willing to pay if certain chagnes were made.

Re: Cigar software

The only software I use is an internet browser. Check sites like Cbid, CI, and of course, the jungle. Now if there was only some way for me to remember what's at the bottom of my humidor
