Blues on Thanksgiving

Tonight I was hit with the blues, knowing that this holiday season would be the last one together as a family. Divorce is imminent, not by my choice. It was kind of strange eating dinner at my mom in laws with my 2 kids and my sister in law.

Not feeling the holiday spirit; but, I'm trying to keep things normal as they usually are for my kids, 19 & 22. Not heading out to the early sales either. I'll be paying cash this year for what presents I buy at the end of the month with commissions.

I guess part of it is the uncertainty of how it'll all get split up and where I'll land after its all said and done.

Like I said just feelin blue and a little out of sorts. Thanks for letting be whine and vent!

It seems like holidays always create the best and worst memories. At least your kids are pretty grown up. It would be much harder on them if they were still little.

Sorry to hear things aren't going to well in your neck of the woods. Just hang in there and know that good times will come again, just have to dredge through the tough ones. You will always have brothers here to talk, so even though its not exactly a true family, we'll always be hear for a listen.

Dog, Its always a sad occasion when a family is split up. But hang in there you and your kids will survive and hopefully be stronger in the end. Your "kids" are all grown up now, even though you may still see them in a different light.

my holidays have been lame ever since my grandfather died a few years ago. now eveyone in the family just does there own seperate thing. it sucks but it is what it is. i hope my package helps cheer you up a little bit.

Im sorry to hear that things aren't working out for you right now. I usually get down in the dumps around this part of the year, as this is the time of year I lost my father. I hope and pray for you that things work themselves out and you can find some sort of harmony in your life. Things will get better. You've got a lot of ears around here if you need them.

Your a good man, showing up at the in-laws for Thankdgiving dinner, I know it was probably tough, but doing it for the kids sake is the RIGHT thing to do.
