I believe that all of the advice you received from your friends here is sound. Take a break, lay off the smoking and do as your doctor's instruct. We all wish you the best for a speedy recovery. I love the cigars, but if I have a choice between improved heath or suffering the consequences, I think you know which direction I would choose.Take care brother and let them smokes age while you take a break.Best to you for a quick recovery.

You know what the right thing to do is. Don't even think about cigars. Focus on your recovery. Now if you were terminal I would say smoke as many cigars as you can.

My dad smoked after heart surgery...and I can only say it can kill you to smoke. Nicotine is vascular constrictor...(makes the blood vessels constrict)....not a good idea to be doing exactly what your body does not need to heal. Sorry for the double negatives. But, that is as strong as I can put it. Your blood vessels need dialation not constriction. Smoking would be the worst thing for you. Get well soon!!

Hey man, I hope your recovery goes well. I agree with all the other gorillas here to stay off the `baccy until you get the all-clear.

On a side note... how about that win IN Arrowhead this past Sunday?

Re: medical question about smoking, im just coming back form surgery

thanks again 2 every1 4 the support, but i just realized that i didnt post before that i am very fortunate not to have cancer. my tumor is actually one that is both vascular, and lymphatic. Its called a venus malformation, and because of all of the operations i have been having cancer can't develop (but believe me that it is something that is constantly on my mind until after the results come back).

Also my appointment with my doc went real well today, and no further infection has spread into my lungs. Im hoping to be smoking agian with in a few weeks, but ill have to play it safe like so many of you guys suggested.

You have all be real helpful. and i wont ever forget that,

thanks again, and ill try 2 keep everyone updated,

Josh

after my back operations they told me the same as above. smoking constricts blood flow leading to slow recovery. quit smoking man just like everyones telling you.
