My favs are Dark Knight II and Hemingway Short Story. Both very resonably priced.

Good luck in boot, hope you're good at folding and ironing clothes What will your rate be? Is swimmer school in Pensacola for ya? I worked next to the Navy guys there and it looks like a lot of work but also fun as hell. Reminds me of what all the helo guys say: What does a fighter pilot look like to a rescue swimmer?

Cold, wet, and scared.

Oh and thanks
If they guaranteed you a duty station after basic you must be going into the Reserves. One of the first things I learned when I joined the Coast Guard was there was no such thing as a "guaranteed" duty station after you signed on the dotted line.

Then again, I stayed in for 21 years and retired as a Senior Chief in 1993. They may do things different these days.

Good luck on your career. It can be very rewarding.

All I will say is Thank You. From someone that lives in Florida, I know how important the Coast Guard is, especially Rescue Swimmers. Keep your head up, and NEVER quit. Never DOR. You can do this!!!!! It's all a matter of you wanting it!!!!!! in 2005 Florida and Louisiana realied on you and Rescue Swimmers are Unsung Heros to the rest of the world, but, we remember!!!!!
