Anejos - good or bad?

Like Opus, I think they are a bit over-hyped. I like them better than opus though. I don't think they are over-rated though.

That being said, they are still a darned fine stick and I do love them, it's just hard for something to not be overhyped when it gets that much hype.

I ignore hype. I was lucky enough to get a half box of the OR 55s way back when. They were superb. Current production is equally good, although different from the ORs. My personal favorite right now is the 77 (Sharks) when I can get 'em, which isn't very often.

My favorite NC cigar. That being said, at too much over MSRP, I would just as soon smoke a nice Bolivar RC.

I think its a very good cigar, but it is still overhyped. The curious thing to me is tha as much as I love Anejos I hate Opus. go figure.

Love the Anejos. They are beautifully constructed, and have a flavor profile unlike any other cigar I have had. Yeah, they are over hyped, like Opus, which I also like. I wont pay way over MSRP for them though. The Hemmingway Maduros are nice too.

They are not the best cigars, but I do like them.

There are many others I would choose over these.

I think the thrill of the chase is the reason I look for them, because once I fire em up, I am wondering why I spent so much time searchin for them.

Kinda like that hot girl you chase for so long who turns out to be a dead fish, but not quite that extreme as the Anejos taste good.

Hype or no hype, Añejos are the best non-ISOMs money can buy, IMHO. In fact, I'd take an Añejo over many ISOMs.

Anejos are overrated. Are they a bad cigar? No. Are they over hyped like the Opus? Yes. I wouldn't kick an Anejo out for eating crackers in bed (Thanks Rack), but I wouldn't spent my last $15 on them either.
