I have a few in my cooler but I've yet to try one

I figure if I don't one of: Edicion de Silvio, ESV, Lot 23, or Habano then I probably wouldn't like anything from him, maybe I'll get through a couple of those over the holidays

Perdomo may have a few bad lines..but the Habano's are not one of them IMO.

A tad off topic but I also recently visited a rude B&M. I was treated like the guy was annoyed that I was just a dumb teenager looking for a smoke to look cool or something. I had some small talk with him to show that I knew what I was talking about. He seemed to catch my point and eased off a little.

Havent been there since. But I'm itching to return because they had a sweet selection!

I agree, the Habano is one of my current favorites. I don't know if that store just had a falling out, but I have met Nick Perdomo twice and he and his reps seem to be loved at the stores down here.

B&M's will "phase out" whatever isn't selling. Can't say I blame them. I go to a handful of shops and all seem to have different selections as a whole. They stock what "their" customers want. I go where Pepin goes.

i bought a box of perdomo reserve maduro, and a box of estate seleccion at my local shop for $50 each on clearance. both seem to burn terribly uneven, but they taste pretty good so it doesnt bother me that much.

The only Perdomo sold at my local B&M is the Fresco. I finally tried one a month ago. Real nice smoke. Priced at 2.50 for a Robusto size. A couple more are on the wife`s list for today`s pickup.

I'm not a big fan of Perdomo but then again the only thing I've had so far is the Lot 23 Natural. I'll have to try more to make an adequate judgment. My B&M carries a few but they never have shouted at me to try them. Other cigars seem to call more loudly.

Back a few or more years ago, the La Tradicion frontmark was among the best cigars coming out of Nicaragua. But that was when Perdomo had just changed over from "Nick's Cigar Company". Success in the business and rapid expansion took it's toll on the Perdomo line, IMHO.

You know, as I read this, it makes me think if we could really make better use of the Directory to pass these kind of comments along!
