Your opinion needed - I sent package and DC# shows dlvd but buyer hasn't received yet

I have had two packages go MIA since I have been here. Pretty good results overall. The two lost were splits with trusted BOTLs so I know there was no monkey business. I ask for payment after so I cancelled payment and ate it.

For more expensive items ($30 and up) I definately recommend not even considering a DC#, and give the buyer/splitter the option of insurance ($1.40). Khubli brings up a point I didn't know about and that is persishable items are uninsurable. I didn't know that so I may have to re-evaluate.

So to sum up:

1) Over 13 ounces, use click and ship (1st class) and you get DC# for free. Ask buyer/splitter if he wants to buy insurance, or maybe even split the cost for only $.70 apiece (it's just pennies after all).
2) When well below 13 oz use parcel post, drop the DC#, and have buyer/splitter pay for insurance if he wants it.


EXAMPLE: If you pack light enough you can get a 5er under 6 oz. That is about $2.00 parcel post. Drop the DC# and add insurance for about $1.50. Package is sent and insured for $3.50 total.





PS If you ship/split a lot, or plan to be here awhile at CS, it might be worth your time and money to get an accurate postal scale. I think about $20 at Walmart. Stamps.com has a free one if you join their service. An excellent option. I really liked their service. But I just don't ship enough to justify the cost of membership (but that is where I got my scale).

Every time I make a purchase I need to double check the shipping addy because I have multiple shit to's that are no longer valid. A total pain but ****** doesn't offer a way to delete them.

Sorry to hear your situation... it stinks
I have only had the PO mess up once. In a trade I didn't receive my shipment but I know that the other party sent it to me. It was an international trade so I said forget it... the shipping cost would of been just not worthy it
