That's pretty much where I'm at now... I have a shit ton of cigars (which is relative... my shit ton is another persons drop in the bucket), so I pretty much only buy things I get excited about.

We're in the same boat brother

I ordered 5 boxes, won three Cbid auctions, and purchased at least 25 individual sticks from the B&M just this month alone

I'm SO happy my gf is one of those 'if it makes you happy....' types

Never ate cat food.

But look on the bright side. You will have plenty of cigars for dessert....

There's little, if anything, on cigar bid that I would enjoy smoking let alone buying since i got pushed down the other slope.

Re: I may be an addict

This will help - get a couple of pipes and some good baccy. Then buy a roaster and a couple of pounds of green beans. That'll give you some where else to spend your money...or...kill your credit cards.

You have been warned...

That's a great plan. Me personally, I set a spending limit each month on how far I can go for stogies. That has greatly helped end any over-the-top spending.

Re: I may be an addict

Nothing wrong with that. You have to build up a collection to age, and to smoke from, right?

Re: I may be an addict

The 1st step is admitting you have a problem.
The second step is finding a cat food made with meat and meat biproducts.

Re: I may be an addict

My suggestion would be to buy two of everything as fast as you possibly can.
Don't choose the "ship thursday" option. That way every single day you'll have to maximize the amount of cigars you buy so that you can save on shipping every single day. That'll make you feel good because you're being thrifty.
Make sure you buy everything that you can get that's cheaper than the last one you bought. For example, if you bought a box of Don Elias Lonsdales for 16 bucks and you can grab another one for $14, that only makes sense because it's a value. That fact that you'll never smoke one shouldn't play into the equation at all.
Sooner or later you'll burn out.
Either that or you'll max all your cards and get shut down.
That's okay, too.
Good Luck!!!

Re: I may be an addict

I was getting ready to fall hard on the slope but I resisted buying a large humidor or cooler (despite Jordan #2 pushing me). I kept my desktop Diamond Crown humidor (holds 100 or so) and keep that as my only one. I'm in the process now of getting to the bottom of it and when I can see cedar on the bottom I'll make some more purchases. I spent quite a bit of money last year on a divorce lawyer so I hope he at least used it to buy cigars or something useful. Anyway, just sharing my forced method - works for me thus far.
