I don't pass an entire puff through my nose and the amount depends greatly on the cigar. Some cigars will put a hurt on the sinuses with smallest amount of smoke. Like yayson says though, it will allow you to taste things in a cigar you never have before.

I try not to pass through my sinuses or inhale. I'm asthmatic and my sinuses are really screwed up so no inhaling and no exhaling through my nose.

None. Never have nor do I think I ever want to try. I also have never seen anybody at the B&M where I hang almost daily do it. I only saw a buddy do it one time and he was a former cigarette smoker who routinely inhales cigars.

Every puff. Exhale. French inhale (I can do it without actually inhaling the smoke.......don't ask me how).

Usually a couple nose releases on each exhale. Depends on the cigar.

Wouldn't spend more than $ 3 on a cigar if I couldn't do this as anything more would be a waste of money cuz you cant taste what you are paying for with just a mouth exhale.

If I were to guess, I'd say every other draw a portion of the smoke is snorked. Never really pay that much attention to it, I'm too busy enjoying my smoke

I try and do it around 5 or 6 times a Robusto. However, I have found it depends on what type of cigar you are smoking as to how badly it burns the sinuses. I do not mean spicy vs non spicy. I mean CC vs NC. Most every NC I have nose exhaled burned to some extent. Where as the CC's burn much less if at all. I don't know "why" that is, but it holds true for me.

It does enhance flavors, but I wouldn't say you were missing out if you did not do it. Also, the burn one can get from nose exhaling will leave you missing the flavor due to the pain.

I do it a few times with each cigar. Like a lot of you stated it really adds another dimension to the taste. I find that if I do it to much it takes away from me being able to enjoy the flavor with my taste buds. Just the way I enjoy it.

Very little if any, because my sinuses get knocked awry by doing it too much.


Luckily, after a few years of tasting coffee and alcohol and food (competition tasting) my taste buds are very selective, and I can pick out flavors at a mile, so smoking almost entirely through the mouth works perfectly fine for me.
