If a product is under warranty for 3 years and it changes owners, why should the product no longer be covered?

Dell and other companies now agree that a warranty is a testament to good customer service and thus it's tied to the product and not the owner. Seeing how good Haier is at standing by a warranty definetly boosts my confidence in the product and potentially others here.

So for a $15 fix, they've kept a customer happy and demonstrated how they stand by their product. I say great work Haier and enjoy your pickup.

I dont think he is a thief. He reached out to the company and told them he did not have a receipt and they chose to honor his refund anyway. The person who sold it to Goodwill could have chose to do the same thing instead of selling it. Smoked BOUGHT it from Goodwill and then decided to take action to try and replace it. Also, Haier must gain some benefit, such as salvaging old parts from this unit, or else they probably wouldn't do it in the first place. In the end, I don't think anyone is getting screwed.

I would think that Goodwill is the one who profited from the deal since they had the cooler and sold it. The original owners could have made the request from the manufacturer to repair or replace the cooler. They didn't. The damage may have been covered under the original company warranty and they could have asked for the original receipt or verified the purchase to the original warranty card, but they didn't. The only thing that I would not have personally done is gone through the trouble of requesting a replacement. IMHO there is where the issue comes from. I would have fixed or repaired the cooler myself or just lived with the defect. But be warned you did brag about it on this public forum. I'm not so sure that I would have done that.

Wow, it was not my intention to get in to a discussion about weather or not I am a thief. My opinion on the matter would be that I am not but I am a bit biased since I am me. Anyway, here is a bit more info that should help you guys discuss the matter. The unit was actually new and in the original box. They now have three more that that are 18 count and also in the original box. Where are they getting them? I don't know but it's probably not from an end user. One thing that I do know is that I can't wait to get my cigars in there. By the way.. I do occasionally go on a purse snatching binge. <== SARCASM

Yeah, I'm a harsh kinda person. And probably more than a little too judgemental sometimes. Comes from my profession, my folks, and trying to raise a child to know the difference between right and wrong. It's all good though.

Re: 2 12 Bottle Wine Coolers for 35.00

This thread has nudged me to examine my morals. I do try to be honest and fair. This morning however, I slipped. I was vacuuming the car at the local carwash and saw a dollar bill lying on the ground. Without thinking, I picked it up and put it in my pocket. I must admit I felt a twinge of satisfaction over my good fortune. While driving away I thought to myself that I should have turned it in to the lost and found at the carwash, since someone dropped it and it belongs to them. Perhaps that person inquired later at the lost and found if a dollar bill which they dropped was turned in.

Now I am thinking that I am a baaaaaaaaaddddd person

The moral of the story?
