Anyone noticed JR now sells Vintage cigars?

Just curious, looks like about 11 different ones each for about $7 - $10 in the latest catalogue.

maybe if they carried the 3 brands i favor I would buy from them ,,,padron,pepins,patels..

I wasn't really impressed... Just a way to spin rejected blends or cigars that didn't sell. I'm not sure I buy the 'ran out of boxes' story...

I agree, not too sure about these vintage cigars. I will try one when I am back in D.C., but for me it is not really worth it to order one without tasting it first.

I asked a similar question when I was in their store and they said that some of the manufacturers did not have agreements with them. No reason given other than just that.

The El Rey Figurado (200 I think) caught my eye. But I find it hard to believe the old "Oh, we just found these in our humidor. They were lost for 4 years but now we have a ton to get rid of".

If it sounds like BS and it smells like BS.............then it's probably BS.

I have read a lot of what the owner has written from his catolog and somethings from a cigar publication. Is smoke his mag?

Anyways most of his views have really said that no cigar is worth $20 a stick.
He actually wrote that in one of his publications.

On his site he has all the bootleg cigars like RP vintage 90 & 92 for about 1/4 of the price. He claims they are made in the exact same factory as the real ones. I believe him.

I saw the vintage section but nothing really popped out for me.

If you look at CI and Famous catalog they are doing the exact same thing as JR selling super cheap bundles.

I bet a lot of those bundles for $39 are well worth it.
Too bad for my pockets everything I smoke is around $7-$10 a stick.
