Club Stogie Members,

I have run many 5 compartment bag group buys in the past. Hell...so many that my AKA is "The Bagman".

I am not sure when or if I'll be running these again, so if anyone wants to "pick up the ball" on this, I am more than happy to get you all the information and give you my help to get this started.

In order for things to run smoothly, it requires some organization and recordkeeping as well as time to order, pack, and ship.

I have truly enjoyed doing this for the fine members here at CS!

If anyone wants to do this in the future, feel free to send me a pm for contacts and help!

I’ve received several pms from BOTLs who have expressed an interest in running the Bag Buys. It is not my intention to share information with just one person to do this. Anyone who wants to do the Group Buy is more than welcome to step in and do it..

I get the bags from Gargoyle Cigar Company

They must be purchased in lots of 1,000 and the price is listed on the website. I ‘ve bought lots up to 6,000 at a time and you may be able to negotiate a better price with that size purchase.

I sell the bags in 100s and 150s because that’s what I can fit in a Priority Mail Envelope ($4.60 shipping). The prices that I sell the bags for are listed in my latest Group Buy. It is pretty close to my cost.

The one thing that I have done that makes this easier to track orders is to request addresses in advance and for the buyers to be sure to include their Club Stogie name with the checks.

That’s about all I can think of for now. Once someone decides to do a group buy for these bags, I would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have.
