This thread is one that I think is very nice for those getting started. I spent a lot of effort visiting crappy shops before I found a nice one.

Everyone post your favorite shop(s) for a given city.

To get it started:

Chicago (Skokie): Cigar King. This is affiliated with the CigarKing website, if you follow just the right links on their webpage, you can see pictures of this location. Link

I love this place. Overstuffed leather chairs facing two 60" inch HDTVs. Free pool table. Free coffee. Two huge walk-in humidors, one for premiums, one for bundles. Customer lockers. Very nice owner/clerks. They had damn near every cigar I've ever heard of.

Evansville, Indiana....Kwik Liquor on North Green River Road.....It is THE largest walk-in humidor in the state!!! It has everything you could ask for and more. Also has a seperate humidor for boxes....Highly recommend it!!

New Jersey specifically Ridgewood. This is a nice suburban town. The Tobacco Shop of Ridgewood is outstanding. This place is run by a very knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic man(GARY). This shop has a large walk-in humidor stocked with some of the best NCs around. Great place to stop and have a smoke and shoot the sh$t about cigars. Hey it also helps to be in business since 1982.

The owners are great, Marcus and Jerry. Very friendly, full of information, will sit with you and shoot the shit for a while if they have nothing to do. Great prices, wonderful leather chairs and satellite big-screen TV so you can kick back, bring your own drinks, and smoke to your hearts content with other smokers!!

I'm going to give a shout to Mike Banks again, aka Mr. Bundles. One of the friendliest persons you would ever want to meet and a wealth of cigar knowledge. He has been gracious enough to host our VA herfs and always is a fantastic host. Mike takes the time to talk to you and find out your likes and dislikes and then gives you recommendations. A true gentleman and he makes a fine cup of coffee too. And Rev Zack who also works there is a fine BOTL. If you're ever in the Richmond area, do yourself a favor and stop in.
