It is a toasty 7 degrees here in MO and I'm not even thinking about smoking! You WI folks are too brave for me. Enjoy the weather.

Re: 2 degrees above zero

I feel like a wussy after reading this.

For me, 40 degrees is my cutoff here in RI. Ok maybe upper 30s if there's no wind. this cold we have this weekend will not allow me to smoke at all. i used to smoke indoors with an exhaust fan running, but my wife is pregnant so ive stopped that...

Boy, I'm leaning off the edge of Wuss cliff, It's a bit nippy here for me to smoke at 40 degrees.

Re: 2 degrees above zero

All I am going to say is right now it is -36F with a windchill of -69F skin freezes in 3 min!!

So ya you can get used to any climate, I only smoke outdoors. I have room on the front of my house that does nothing but block the wind, I smoke there. But I will not smoke in anything colder than -22F (-30C)

I find it funny when you guys talk cold... of course I would die in the warm weather!! There is no way I could smoke in the Florida summer heat!

I am in total awe .....

Kinda makes this measly 15F (feels like 2F) here on the prairie seem like a heat wave.

Re: 2 degrees above zero

I have yet to find any cigar that would make me stand in 2 degree weather to smoke. But then I smoke indoors whenever I want so maybe that attitude would change if I had to smoke outdoors.

I will be looking for the headline in the news this winter:

“Man found frozen while smoking favorite cigar”

Stay warm & be safe if you can.

Re: 2 degrees above zero

It's funny I live in WAY sub-zero temp all the time... so for me I get used to the shrinkage... it's when I go back down south it's the expansion that kills me!!

This Sunday's games are going to be great: the weather for the Pats game is going to be with temps in the teens, snow showers and below zero wind chill (this will be the "warm" game); the Packers game is going to be in colder conditions: Bring on the Frozen Tundra! I'll be in my warm living room watching it on the big screen and may allow myself to smoke inside .
I'm in souther MO and it's probably going to warm up into the 20's tomorrow, but the playoffs are going to override any no indoor cigar smoking rules I usually impose on myself. (pipes I smoke inside all the time, but they don't go nearly as well with playoff football as a good cigar)

Take the dogs, and the points as well as the under. There are two things that play hell with a passing dominated offense and those are bitter cold temps and high winds, and one or both are expected at both venues.

I really wanted to to see NE v GB in the Superbowl but I don't care how banged up San Diego may be, 15+ points is a lot in that kind of weather as is 8 in the NY v GB game and I really doubt we'll see 51 points scored in the NE v San Diego game. But you gotta realize that any time I'm this freaking confident, I'm usually WRONG.
