CAO Vision?

has anyone tried the new CAO vision? i think the box is a swell idea of being humidified and all with the outside digital hygrometer... actually i think thats just plain awesome! i also like the box they come in and i read some reviews and heard it was a good overall cigar. so i went and picked one up but i was on another forum (JUST BROWSING I DIDNT SIGN UP!!!! ). but they were all just ripping on the CAO vision and how its marketed to wannabe james bonds or playboys and stuff and how if you know a good cigar you would never touch this one. So i was just wondering what peoples views on this cigar was on this forum. I havent smoked mine yet so i cant say much besides it feels like a well made cigar and it smells great. Thanks guys!

Just ignore people like that. The question you need to be asking yourself is "Do I like these." I have yet to try one, but I have loved everything I haev tried from CAO so far.

Sounds good. Its funny, CAO is the brand that actually made me want to smoke. Ever since I saw the Brazilia, I wanted to try cigars.

Re: CAO Vision?

The Vision is probably my favorite cigar. It sucks listening to people rip it, but they do that mainly because they're pissed off that they cost so much- a fact that most believe and are angered by due to the extravagant box. I, however, believe it's a fine med-full bodied cigar with a perfect draw every time I light one up. Infin1ty is right, though....screw what I or anyone else thinks, and enjoy what you like because in the end, it's the only thing that really matters.

Re: CAO Vision?

The Vision is not one of my favorite CAO's, but I love the brand. They make very consistant, tasty cigars IMO. You will find people either love CAO or dog them, but like Infin1ty stated "Do I like these", that is all that matters!

Re: CAO Vision?

thanks for the good read and more of peoples opinions about this cigar. It seems to be more of CAO's rep about you either love them or hate them. So far i have loved everything CAO has offered me (that i've tried at least). So i will be VERY interested on how this one treats me. I will write up a review on this thread after i smoke it. Thanks for all the input guys!

Re: CAO Vision?

I've had a couple of the Visions, and it is a good cigar! In my opinion it is overpriced though. My B&M sells them for like 13+ bucks a piece. I don't have an issue buying them when I'm in the mood for one. I could careless what someone thinks of my choice of cigar. Hell some people snub their nose at a good Anjeo just because they are so popular.

Re: CAO Vision?

Well guys, i just got back from Maison Edwards with a friend and i smoked my CAO Vision down there.

First off i wanna say I was smoking to see if i liked it or not without paying to much attention to the details, just as an overall good or bad smoke.

The cigar during the beginning was not very enjoyable (for my personally) it was a very nicely constructed cigar and all and i can see why a lot of people either love or hate this cigar (along with CAO in general). As the cigar progressed i liked it more and more. It kept the same flavor through the cigar but it got more mild with subtle change in flavor. About the middle my opinion started to change quite quickly. It wasnt such a POW, WHAM in your face taste. And the finish... WOW. the finish was fantastic! I wont mention any tastes or flavors because in all honesty i didn't pay attention to specific tastes. Like i said earlier I wanted a more general overall view of the cigar and didn't want to go to indepth with this one. The finish capped it off for me and sold me. I agree with nib's that this cigar is NOT worth the price. I payed 17 for the medium size one (forgot what they are called) and would not pay for it again. I would much rather go get 2 8 dollar cigars that i also enjoy. This was a very unique cigar that i have tried but i loved it (but not for 17bucks).

Overall rating would be a 8.75 out of 10 (including the price they are asking which hopefully will come down after the hype dies down).
If this cigar was say a 8 or 10 dollar cigar i would have given it a 9.25 out of 10.

Anyways this is what I think of the cigar.
Hope this helps anyone that is wondering what this cigar is like (i realize this isnt a real indepth review but i am also a newb at this cigar stuff).

Re: CAO Vision?

CAO is a great brand. I have never had the chance to try a vision, but would love to. I don't really care for the CAO gold, but I can say, I have had worse!
