Re: The difference Between Cigars and cigarettes?

I think there is an obvious difference to the people here, because we are people who generally mean a premium hand rolled cigar when we say cigar. But to a large part of the population a cigar is the 89 cent two pack of at the gas station. In that sense there is very little difference. It is just another way to feed a nicotine addiction, and thus a health risk.

every once in a while a new guy will come to one of my mini-herfs and he'll bring a "strawberry shit stick": white owl, black and mild, or swisher sweet, once they smoke a real cigar, they never look back.

Switching gears here a little bit, I think from a purely political standpoint, cigar and cigarette smokers need to stand together in order to have even a ghost of a chance of not having tobacco in any form from being permanently banned/taxed/legislated out of existence...

The problem is cigars are associated with "the rich". And since the people who like to tax things out of existence don't feel "the rich" are paying enough taxes, cigars get thrown into the mix.

The difference for me is very simple, cigarettes are inhaled into your lungs and cigars are not.

Cigarettes are a habit, cigars are an experience.

i can see where you can say that because its true. but then the people that just see the gas station cigars (oh ya i called them cigars, sorry) get grouped in there also because they are cheap.

cigars are a art and yes they are addicting but not in the way that some people think. i have never said i need a cigar because i dont, i want a cigar. the slope of cigar collecting is it for me

so we all know who not to vote for because of the cigar tax that will follow right

Cigarettes contain a TON of additives. I will see if I can find the article I read on them when I get home. It talks about what % of each cigarette is actual tobacco and what is crap...the answer is just as you would suspect. Mostly garbage added with a hint of tobacco.
