Graycliff Chateau Grand Cru PG Robusto (Purple Label)
2007 was the year of the CC's and now it's time to try some of the NC's out there. I Like the Tat's (Angeles) and Pepin's (Black and Blue) and thinking about picking up some of these. If you have tried them I'd like to hear your opinion of these.
And I'm also looking at the Double Espresso ones. These look like they might have a nice kick to them. Thanks for the input |

These are actually very good cigars with some complexity (especially if you can get them for $6 a stick versus the absurd retail value of $400-$500 a box). They put out a ton of very deep, rich, flavor and copious amounts of thick smoke. I like them better than the Espresso which tends to be more one dimensional.

I really like these. Tons of thick, creamy smoke. It has a lot of complexity, I'd call it medium bodied overall, with hints of toasted almond, coffee, and other things that my palate cannot translate.
My favorite in the Graycliff line is the Crystal series. They have all of the complexity with phases of pepper and hints of sweetness packed throughout. An excellent smoke when you get them off of Cbid for $7-$8/stick.

Re: Graycliff Chateau Grand Cru PG Robusto (Purple Label)
I have been smoking the Espressio for a couple of years now.
The Presidente is awesome if you have time to smoke it. I don't like the pyramid the 10 I had all smoked lose and I bought them in 2 different 5 packs. This cigar has an Ecudorian wrapper which really gives a supper crisp taste to the dark & rich tobacco. All the NC you mentioned are really good smokes and I would say as good if not better than alot of the CC's in the $10 price range ![]() |
