I am assuming these were purchased with a credit card. If so and you are not satisfied with the retailers resolution, then just dispute the charge stating that the goods were not received. Then move on to another vendor. My

These definetely should require a signature, as they are shipping tobacco products. Tobacco products require an adult signature.

This is why I have a mailing address at a UPS store. You could have them delivered to your work depending on your job.

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
Well, guys i appreciate all of the repsonses believe me i've used everyone. I have still yet to recieve my cigars and i've left rude rude messeges to Fedex. Not becuase of the missing package, but because they are sending me on a wild goose chase calling many different people. I have been told they will contact me monday and the vendor i ordered from is seeming to be willing to replace the cigars. That is as of right now. So all i can do now is wait until monday and see what happens there = (. I will keep you guys updated on how this turns out. As i said before i am very appreciative of all of the responses and Thanks again for looking out for your fellow brothers. That is why to this day Club Stogie is the grandest forum on the net.

Every time my tracking says they left 'em at my front door I worry that the same might happen to me. I notice my neighbor across the street smokes a stogie every-once-in-awhile. He will be my first suspect!

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
Fedex strikes again.. not to steal your thunder, but I have been waiting on my wheel of 50 blend #7's since LAST friday, when they were supposed to be here. Every day, the driver marks it as a delivery exception because of "incliment weather" The only problem is, there is still some snow on my parking deck, and he is just too lazy to walk on top of it. So after calling fedex and chewing someone out this AM, I told them I would leave a note on my truck window (easy to see from the street) with my phone number to the house, and I would come out and meet him, since he can't seem to walk on some hard packed snow. This is why I like USPS priority.
Scott EDIT: BTW, I used to be a fedex courier, and I was NEVER like that. I did whatever I needed to do to get that package delivered. There are way too many lazy couriers now adays.

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
I know how you feel, I had a box of Avo 787's disappear from my door step over the holidays. My vendor insures all my shipments, so they took care of all the paperwork with UPS and I had areplacement box in two weeks.

The sad thing is, it was probably some punk kid who swiped them who has no idea what he has. I'm digging those 787's.

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
Remember that FedEx Ground drivers are not FedEx Employees but rather contract drivers.

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
You are correct. Fedex Ground drivers have a contracted route with Fedex.. which, IMHO, severely limits thier liability in delivering packages.

Re: Cigars Stolen!!!!
Usually it's the vendor that has to deal with FedEx or any shipping company because they are the ones that actually paid for the package.
Tell the vendor you are all set and you going to do a charge back on the purchase. Why get into this headache... Once they hear this, they'll immediately just send you another box.
