Question for my fellow Alabamians:

Do any of you herf at Tobacco Shop in Hoover? I was on my way back to Florence from Atlanta on Thursday evening and decided to stop in and check out the selection....boy was I impressed! Probably the most extensive selection I've seen thus far in the state and I was able to pick up an Illusione cg:4, which was listed by CA as one of the Top 10 cigars of 2007. Though I wasn't overly impressed with this stick, I was quite excited to give it a shot amongst a couple of others I've yet to light up. Just curious....were any of you possibly here on Thursday night?

They are generally out of the path that I travel, so I seldom get by their shop. I think Andy stops in there occasionally.

I don't think I've been there since they expanded.

They do have a good selection and I visit when I'm in Hoover, but I'm only there once or twice a year.

I think the F9 is the best of the Illusione. Give that one a whirl, you might enjoy it more.

I've had probably four or five sitdowns there over the past couple of years if I happen to have the time in my schedule and I am near there; more often I pick up a few sticks and move on to my next appointment. Their prices are not rock bottom (not exactly the highest, either), but they do have quite a wide selection and some good premiums, too. Knowledgeable and friendly folks every time I have been in there.

Haven't been there yet. They have some pretty good events. I think there is a LFD event coming up this month.

I've been there a handful of times. They do have a T0N of stock- way more than anyone else in the city. Prices are a lil high but not "gouging"

Don't look at their super-premium stick prices though- They had a box of 64 Anni Principe for $499.00 (MSRP around $200 I believe) They had boxes and boxes of Opus X and were asking close to $1000 a box.
