It sucks to be young
So i go to CI to buy a hygrometer and it says you have to be 21+ to buy. I am 18 and able to buy tobacco, so why does it restrict me online?

yeah they're weird like that. I'm only 19, but I just choose a different DOB every time i order from there.

one time i was born in the 20's

just choose a different DOB when you go to check out. it works fine.

Nice Advil...It seems like 5 years ago that was never an issue. I have heard other people having an issue with that as well... Guitarman got a notice of some sort saying that www.holts.com would no longer be able to do business with him seeing as he was under 21, but that was just recently...I am sorry guys, feel free to use my DOB if you want...08/15/1982...that should get you around that issue. Otherwise, there are other places listed here at ClubStogie that I am sure the people would be more than happy to help you...

Don't worry, you'll continue to get hassled at any age!

Some stores no matter what my age still card me for alcohol (I'm 44 but look 20... LOL).

You will never have the right I.D., Credit Card, Mortgage, Insurance, Tax Forms, etc...

That's just life... That's why we smoke stogies to help us over the hump.

I actually got an age verification waiver from Holts once because they said they could not verify my age. Needless to say I through away the waiver. Im not going to send them a copy of my identification. Its not a problem because Im 25 but I really hate all the red tape

I received the same form twice , never signed it or sent copy of photo I.D. I guess they gave up . I did ask about it once while I was in their store , only explanation was that it was for proof of age for on-line vendor sales , said something about government regulations . Oh , and I would love to be 18 again , enjoy it while it lasts young Squire .

Just remember they are doing this to protect themselves. If they get caught selling to a minor they can get in big trouble and it does not matter if you lied or provided false information, it is their job to verify it.

I understand that they can get in trouble for selling to a minor, but is there anywhere in the US where the age to purchase tobacco is 21?
