I like a good bourbon with my smoke, but during the week I usually have a diet coke or glass of water. I like my bourbon too much to have during the week, work will suck the next day I had some Bullliets last night and it was delicious.

I agree whiskey - whether its scotch, bourbon, irish etc. - goes great with most any cigar. Every now and then I'll have a smoke that is too strong for scotch or a stogie that is to weak for bourbon but that is why I keep both on hand

This has become my favorite drink lately:

Blended then aged for 12 years in oak barrels, our Master Distiller has created a full yet smooth character with hints of spice and vanilla. Canadian Club Classic's® quality is exemplified in the winning of a double-gold medal at the prestigious 2003 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It is the perfect whiskey to enjoy by itself or as part of a classic cocktail.

Mmmmmmm

Yummy stuff

and cheaper than Crown Royal

I only drink whisky with my cigars. My whisky of choice is Knob Creek. Strong and aged

Thanks for the great post and observation. My experience is the same, but with a fine rum instead of whiskey.

Nice thread

We're painting the interior of the house and I had to move the scotch collection. Before putting it back, I need to clean the bottles of the accumulated grime of storage on top of the kitchen cabinets.

Found a pair of 31 y.o.s that I think I'll sip this afternoon. A Ben Nevis (put down in 1968 and bottled in 1999) and a Glenlevit (69 and 00). I've had both since shortly after their bottling and they are both now down to one wee dram.

A Monte #2 from 2006 like the one I sent IceHog3 last week seems like the right cigar, followed by a 93 Punch Margarita if necessary.

I'd have to agree there is nothing better than a nice cigar paired with some whiskey.

I also enjoy beer with my smokes quite often.

I see a lot of you drink Dr. pepper while you smoke. I will definitely have to try that it sounds good.
