V splitting

bought 10 or so double robustos from taboo few weeks ago. they have been in the coolerdor which maintaints between 63 and 67 % the last two that i have smoked have had wrapper splits about a quarter inch into the cigar. doesnt effect smoking of the cigar much, but is just annoying to have a cigar that looks so great do that after barely smoking. any ideas why this would happen and any solutions???

Re: V splitting

It should split into a "V". Its a branding design feature.

Re: V splitting

A naked one fell one end onto my humidifier and the end blew out like a blunderbuss a few weeks ago.

Doubt that's the V's vault though.

Re: V splitting

Are you smoking outside in the cold? I only ask because I know I have had more than a handful of smokes that I have smoked in the cold that have had wrapper splitting issues. I notice this especially on Tat Reds and Pepin Black Labels, and had a V Lancero do the same thing a couple weeks ago when smoked in the cold. These same sticks smoke flawless in warmer temps. Just a thought.
