Good info....but keep in mind the Postal rates are going up May 12th and the Priority mail prices have not yet been determined. Might want to hold off on the "sticky" till then...unless a Mod will edit later.

Thanks for the heads up Mikey. Too bad the Post Office didn't tell me about the free boxes before selling me the regular box for $3.95 to ship your part of the NST.

Just ordered 10 boxes for future deliveries. Hmmm...10 boxes saves $39.50...I think I just found some extra money for my cigar budget...

Nice write up. I use the APC every time, and have shipped over 5 lb packages using it... Nothing ever let me know that I had to hand it to the teller, and my packages have always been sent AOK.


Also, if you plan on going to the PO anyways, you can use Click-N-ship to print a label with a DC# on it, then ship it Priority without adding DC. The DC# has always worked that way for me no problem.

Cheapskate Reality Check:
If you're sending 1500 miles or less, the chances are they will arrive in 2 days anyway, so why bother with Priority Mail when it will likely be $2 or less to send by 1st Class? My

Because it CAN take two weeks (and it has), and the $3 you spend on the box bumps you over PM pricing anyway.

Thanks for the refresher for everyone. I have been using the USPS website to get my boxes for free (great deal), but I didn't know about the scales. This will be a useful tool for click and ship now that I have a reliable computer/printer.

PM is well worth the $4.60 with free DC you get at click and ship.

I have had a priority box take 5 days just to go about a three hour drive. That is just how usps is sometimes.
