The owner of my local B&M showed me the new prices. They went up a bit but not much. It keeps a box of Blacks within my monthly budget.

Don't forget, Pepin has a brand new plant...that cost money!!

I got an email as well. Fortunately, I have not tried any of his blends, so I won't be feeling any of the price increase pain! It was already out of my price range anyways

Yes, they did. So did just about everybody else last year. Pepin was just a little slow to fall in line.

I also heard that Litto is jumping on this ban wagon too, which is odd since his brand is La Flor Dominicana not La Flor Nicaragua.

Yep, they are another that is late to the dance of increasing prices but they are going up too. Like I mentioned, just about every company raised prices a little in past year.

Re: No mention of the Pepin price increase?

I'm afraid it's not confined to tobacco products and cigars. The prices of allmost all commodities are currently in strong uptrends with Gold trading for over 975.00/oz. yesterday. Crude oil also recently cracked the $100.00/bl. mark for the first time in history, and many grain futures are trading at record highs.

Perhaps we may reach a point where some of the low production sticks can be looked at as good long term investments. And all the while our government is still attempting to convince us we are not entering a period of higher inflation. And Dubya? Well he'll be leaving office with nary a day to spare. If nothing else, the guy seems to be blessed with more than just a modicum of pure stinking luck.

Truth. Pretty much everything you read is telling you that Pepin sticks are top notch. With so many good reviews for his sticks, everyone is picking up every box they can.
