Favorite Shop/ Website for Cigar Purchase

Want to get some ideas for places to check out during travel or new sites with good prices.

I shop locally at the Cigar Box here in Killeen, Tx, but also love to go to Pipeworld in Austin. Lately, though, Cigarbid.com has had some really nice smokes.

I have also ordered quite a few smokes from Tobacco World in Pompano Beach, FL. They are nice people and seem to be able to get some of the hard-to-find cigars.

I live in a town of ~ 50,000 with a shop which sells cigars among other things. My personal inventory in total numbers and different types dwarfs the local shop, so I don't shop there. And, their stuff is over priced. And, they really just want to sell knick-knacks, chocolate and balloons.

If im looking for somthing new I got to the local tenderbox the staff are great. If I need to spend money for no good reason, I got to Cbid. The devil has me and I kinda like it.

If you're ever in Reading, UK, check out Shave and Coster in the Harris Arcade... small, pokey, pretty decent celection, lots of pipe tobacco and great staff.


But I doubt you'll be in Reading anytime soon.

For price, you just can't beat JR. For brick & mortar, I love to browse through Holts in Philly.

Cbid has become number 1, but I base most of my bids on prices from AtlanticCigar.com, CheaperCigars.com, SmokeAll.com, LilBrown.com, CigarsInternational.com, and JRcigars.com.

When I want to order a box of something that usually gets overbid at Cbid, like CAO's, I order from Atlantic because they're prices are usually the lowest (and if not they match) and they're closer to me. I get my orders overnight in most cases with just regular ol' ground shipping.

I've got a great B&M in Little Rock - The Pipe & Tobacco Shop. A great selection and good herfing lounge also, not to mention great guys. But, due to my budget limitations it's been Cbid for most of my lineup. I do like to give the local boys as much as I can though. Other online shops also include Neptune, Finck and Bonita. These have given me good prices and great service.

There is an Old Virginia Tobacco Store nearby - cost is at least double what I can get from JRCigars.com. I also used to use paylesscigars.com but their selection of late has not been very good and besides, JR puts pictures of the sticks on their webpage. Service from jr has been pretty good as well and I usually only have to wait 3-4 days for my packages. All of this talk has me thinking about ordering another box right now.
