Re: Yellow Cello...
I will probably get slammed for this reply, but I ordered a sampler from thompsons about 2 years ago out of a magazine, 20 sticks assorted all premium smokes for 30$ before I knew any better, they still spam me and send me catalogs, but every stick had dark yellow stained cello, and it is definately a good thing because every stick was excellent, tasted much better than young sticks...
p.s. if thompsons is reading this can you kindly remove me from your database...thank you |

Re: Yellow Cello...
I've smoked cigars with yellow cello (aged for about a year). couldn't tell much difference
But to be honest, I'm not as big a fan of aging as some on this site. I like to age my cigars 4-6 months; most cigars don't need that much time, but it gives any young cigars time to mellow. For some lines--like 5 Vegas Series A and Fire by Rocky Patel-- a few months' aging is absolutely mandatory, or the cigar won't be smokeable. I've never had the patience or the storage room to age my cigars more than a year.
