I have had people tell me that the wrapper is 70% of the taste when you smoke a cigar, (I don't agree, by the way.)
So you smoked an entirely different cigar that the one you started to smoke.
I've had that happen to me also, but KASR I've never just lit it and let it burn in the stinky. That's not freebasing whatever that is. That's a death pyre, that was popular during the 14th century.
Some of the other BOTL may remember a cigar brand that produced four cigars identical in size and fuller tobaccos but the only difference is the wrapper. It is designed to allow you to experience the flavor that is obtain from the wrapper. Whether 50-70 percent, it doesn't really matter, only the final flavor is what counts.

Have you seen the Shaggy Gurkhas? about 1 inch is left without wrapper and its all frayed and stuff. I just got one for 4.80 today. It looks and smells great!
