Is higher temp ok after freezing?
Is there a chance of beetle infestation at higher (75-77 degrees) temperatures after the cigars have been frozen for an extended time (4-5 days at 20 degrees)?

Re: Is higher temp ok after freezing?
I am not expert... but from what I read when the bugs freeze, they die.
BUT wait for someone who really knows.

Re: Is higher temp ok after freezing?
IF you assume that the cigars are properly frozen and IF you assume that there are no bugs/larvae in your humi (like one fell out of your cigar or some eggs were laid on the cedar) and IF you assume that no other bugs ever get in....then you should be OK. Proper freezing will kill the bugs/larvae and effectively scramble or burst the eggs.
But all it takes is one left unharmed to ruin the party. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong

Re: Is higher temp ok after freezing?
I don't want to jack the thread, but I am begining to become paronoid after all the threads I have read. My question is shoud I remove the cigars from their celo befor freezing to avoid condensation, or does it not matter.

Re: Is higher temp ok after freezing?
A freezing temperature of 20 degrees may not be adequate, I would suggest using no more than 0* and preferably colder if possible .
