Need Help with Stogie Rate
I want to try out this http://www.stogiefresh.com/stogie_rate.htm but the shopping cart only accepts US pp accounts........retarded but hey what do I know.
Anyway if any of the US BOTL's with a pp account could help me out I will gladly send you the $7.99 in advance plus any extra to cover transfer fee. After that I am assuming you just need to email me the download file and activation code. I don't have a problem with throughput on my email but if your email provider doesnt allow attachments over a certain size then we would have a problem. Does anyone out there use this that can tell me how big the download file is. Thank you |

I can help ya out.
Just PM me confirming everything, and I'll order it for you. That way I don't end up ordering a copy when someone else did too ![]() I also have an FTP so the size of the file won't be an issue. I can just upload it, and PM you the addy where to get it. |

Re: Need Help with Stogie Rate
I have some free software for cataloging your stogies and will send it to you if you want. Cant remember where I found it, I believe it was on this forum someplace.

Re: Need Help with Stogie Rate
Can one of you guys who use Stogie Rate post a review? I'm using Cigar Register, but honestly it's "number problem" is starting to get on my nerves. (Those who have used it know what I'm talking about).
I'm curious what Stogie Rate is like compared to one of the free programs. Yeah, I know its only $7, but I don't want to retype all the info I have if it's basically the same program.

Re: Need Help with Stogie Rate
Well, I'm putting my humidor #s in as we speak. My cooler registers 65%-57f, humi registers 61%-66f.
Now, when I go to look at the "history", it shows my readings are 66-57 & 61-65. It also says I have 1847 cigars in my humidor, up from 1662.3 cigars when I added the last ones on March 8th. I actually have 59 cigars in there, added 2 on the 8th, and have smoked 3 since then.

Re: Need Help with Stogie Rate
Weird, I have been using Cigar Register since the beginning and have experienced no such problems (not to say that you arent). Try emailing the developer...I got quick response and fairly personalized service when I thought I was having a Wishlist issue. Quickly resolved.

Re: Need Help with Stogie Rate
Hi guys,
I wish I would have seen this earlier, I could have probably helped out. I wrote the software and sell it on my site. I have had problems with mailing goods to different countries, but since StogieRate is downloaded after order fulfillment, there should be a way to allow non US PP payment. We could have probably used Pay by Email through ******. Anyway, it looks like you got it figured out. Let me know if you have any questions. The StogieRate database allows importing data, so if you have an existing collection that you want to import, there are directions on the Help file. I originally created StogieRate for myself. I use a Mac and for those out there that also use Macs, you know that we often get short-shifted on software. So, I created a software that works on Mac and Windows. Then, I got a bunch of requests for features and it started from there. I am trying to sell it for a reasonable price, and still recoup something for the hundreds of hours I've put into it. There are other products out there, but I don't know too much about them since I made my own. ![]() Doc |
