Thumbs up Ultimate & best stogies $1-$3 can buy. Calling the pro's to help all newbies.

Firstly, Thanks for having me here, feels good to discuss my "tobacco habit" with others like myself.

On behalf of all Noob's I ask this forum’s ashtray filling expertise to inform us of your precious and affordable gems!

After months of research of absorbing stogie reviews and recommendations like a hungry wolf; here's the

Best Starter List of Cigars betwen $1-$3.

Many stogies tried to get in this list and did not make it. Many should be on here, and us newbies will benefit from this thread’s richness as those smokers with a little blood in their Nicotine System contribute.

The guidelines I came up with= =

- The best cigars out there that $2 (or under) a stick can buy. This is a sweet spot for me as a newbie. Definitely under $3 for a MUST HAVE, lets put it that way. Buying a box to keep that price range is allright. Eventually, my hunch says that most newbies like me will buy less stogies of better quality as time passes and it's only a matter of time before we slip down the slope.

-a nice variety of smokes in size and strength.

-Something light to medium for coffee times during the earlier part of the day.

-Sticks that one relights 10 times going about their day, doing stuff.

-Stogies that develop and take a while to yield their fruit of complexity.

-Fuller - after dinner stogies.

IF a stogie is grassy and harsh, before humi time, in your opinion , please indicate it's worthiness as a smooth stick as time passes.

Any Padron that you can get for under $3 is a no-brainer. If you watch for deals, you can frequently get boxes of 2000s for less than $3/stick which is the best bang-for-the-buck cigar I have ever smoked. I highly prefer the maduro wrapper on Padrons but the natural is good too.

You can also occasionally find A. Fuente 858s right around the $3 mark.

These might be worth a look if economy is a real factor...

http://www.jrcigars.com/index.cfm?pa...rand=CONSUEGRA

Many are a dollar OR LESS for handmade Honduran smokes.

I agree with Smokey Joe! Consuegras are a very good cheap smoke, available in a variety of Ring Guages. Another great cheap smoke is one of my favorites, Puros Indios Rothschild nat. 20's, $52 for a box of 20 from Cigars International.
