The acid Roam is what got me into cigar smoking. I dont smoke flavored tobakky anymore but that was THE STICK that got me slipping at the top of the slope. actually, thinking about it now makes me want one. They're great...but they have their time & place

This is not possible.

My advice would be to try the Krush tin cigarillos. They are small, around $10-$12 a tin in most B&Ms. I will smoke one once in a while, they are good for smoking around non cigar smokers because they won't complain about the smell.

Cigar smokers, on the other hand, will complain about the smell of them.

Re: Thinking about trying Acids - advice?

Started smoking with the KUBA KUBA's. Quickly moved away from them because of the after taste it left the next day. However, the natural's and the java's were always pretty good. Now I probably wouldn't spend my money on them seeing as there are so many other (better) smokes out there and its also not what I'm looking for in a cigar. However, if someone offered me one I'd probably smoke it. That CAO Flavours line though is alot better.

Here is my view on the Acid Krush.

That said, I don't think the CI Legends Copper band is too shabby. Good in the mornings with coffee but kinda reminds me of just being a really nice Swisher Sweet.

Smile Re: Thinking about trying Acids - advice?

I've had a few of the Kuba Kuba and at the time enjoyed them but no longer purchase them.

I've also had a tin of the Acid Krush Classic Red Cameroon, I tried to smoke a couple of these and failed. Gave a couple to a friend who had a similar experience and I tossed the rest and kept the tin.

The last Acid I had was the Blondie just a few days ago, an associate at work gave it to me. It was not bad, but I won't be picking any up.

On the inside of the Acid bands it says "the rebirth of cigars". I found it interesting because the Krush definitely tasted as though it had died at some point, but I don't think it's rebirth was successful.

As others here have said, it's something you yourself must experience, I've found that to be the most effective way to make such a determination.

Hmm - that might not be a bad way to go. Minimal investment in the (very probable) case I'm not a fan.

The Cold Infusion is great... if you're a girl and you've never smoked. Seriously though, the Roam and the Kuba Kuba were some of my GF's faves before she moved on to CAO.

So any Acid smokers out there who can tell me where to start? Obviously I don't want to be hammered over the head with botanicals, but I also want to get the true Acid experience. There's so many different varieties I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions? Or anyone just wanna talk me off the ledge?

And also, if I pull the trigger, do I need to keep them in a seperate cooler?

If you must, then try the best. "ACID Five"! Not over powering with the infusion, and considered by some the premium of ACID's if there is such a thing. (I tried one once, long ago, pretty dam good.)

Re: Thinking about trying Acids - advice?

If your lookin for a new one to try, i would stay away from acid. plenty of nice smokes out there to lay a fiver on other than them. but to each his own.

I dunno about the Acid Five. At more than $10 a pop, I would try something else first. Also, if you let them sit for a couple of months the sweetness tends to increase quite a lot. I would try the Acid One, not as expensive, and there is definitely not as much infusion as the rest of the Acid line.
