I had a bad reaction to my cigar

I lit up one of my "yard gars" and after a few draws a developed a minor sweat and the shakes. I had to put it out and sit down. I've never had a reaction to my Luis Martinez Maduros. I'm hoping it was the cigar and not me??

Are these symptoms of a nicotine reaction? Anyone ever have a reaction to there usually normal cigars? Cigars usually don't mess with me.

Re: I had a bad reaction to my cigar

It has happened to me...without the sweating.

Cojonu 2003 on a FULL stomach (Carne Asada Burrito with Horchata). Once I got to the nub zone, I had the shakes and I was wondering if I was going to soil myself. It wasn't funny.

What's sad is I am a big Pepin Whore. I usually smoke that cigar every Saturday on an empty stomach...no problem. Not that day.

The only reaction I usually get from smoking cigars is relaxation. Sorry to hear about it.

I did have a full stomach, it was after dinner. I popped open a soda afterwards and starting feeling a bit better. At the moment I'm still recovering....guess it was an abnormally stronger cigar. At least I didn't get any nausea

Re: I had a bad reaction to my cigar

The only time I ever felt nauseated from a cigar was from a fresh Opus X. I found that the remedy of food and beer to help immensely.

I never have a reaction to nicotine, thats the weird part. Now I will say I just started smoking more cigars now that the weather is slightly warmer. During the winter I don't smoke as much. I just had 2 or 3 of the same cigars over this past weekend.....no problems.

Re: I had a bad reaction to my cigar

i've been dipping for probably 10 years, and I still experience that once in a while. Every once in a while I will put a big dip in and start to feel really weird, usually it's a diarrhea/throw up feeling at the same time. If you're a pretty tough guy you can just wait that feeling out, but otherwise just go puke and get it over with. I tend to just lie on the couch for about 10 minutes.
